Heiligenblut, the romantic winter sport area of the region Grossglockner/Heiligenblut lying at an elevation of 1.301 m, has 13 lifts without long waiting times and 55 km varied downhill slopes are available for fans of skiing, snowboarder and carver. The winter in Heiligenblut is full of “High Life” in the truest sense of the word!

 

Not only because you can find dreamlike downhill runs which lie high above the treeline, here, one can enjoy the skiing fun by the way without any stress until spring.

Snowboarding
Snowboard fans are invited to daring adventures in Heiligenblut. 55 km varied slopes and a funpark are waiting for all snowboard freaks.

A total of 60 snow canons help the white powder if “Frau Holle” should not be in a good mood. With this varied program, there are no more limits to the winter snowboard fun and will become even more attractive while viewing the snow-covered peaks and white mountain slopes in the area.

Cross-country skiing
For snow fun other than the downhill slopes, a total of 10 kilometers of well marked loipes are available for cross-country freaks .

 

Two romantic (Grossglockner- and Sonnblickloipe) loipes at an elevation of 1.200m are just the right thing for winter sport romantics. Whoever is looking for peace and relaxation during cross-country skiing and who wants to get in tune with nature, Heiligenblut is just the right location in.

 

A cross-country rental service offers skis to those with previously other plans, who have decided in the last minute to enjoy themselves on cross-country skis.

Sledging
The well lit sledding course can be found 500 m from the village center, and can be easily reached by foot.

It invites you to unforgettable night sledding adventures with its length of 1.1 km. The elevation from the peak- to the valley station is 200 m. It is much fun if you swing yourself on the sled, alone or with up to two people in order to begin a fast ride. And with sufficient snow conditions of course the fun becomes twice as much!

A further sledding course is available at an elevation of 1.900 m on which you can sled toward the Grossglockner during the day, and of course, there is a sled rental service, which makes the best equipment available to everyone.

Ice curling
Ice Curling belongs to the oldest sport types of the world, and this winter sport rich in tradition is also offered in Heiligenblut to its guests.

 

On the ice curling course near the Gasthof Sonnblick groups, especially, will have their fun, since ice curling means much fun particularily when it is performed in teams. If you are getting cold, it is not far to the restaurant – here, warm drinks and excellent culinary delights are offered enabling you to be victorious in the next round.
