The downhill slopes are varied, piste care exemplary. Cosy ski huts, snow bars and sun terraces are great places for a refreshment stop or après ski. A ski area for discerning guests - of all levels of ability and to suit every taste.


Snowboard Funpark with 90 m halfpipe! There is an adventure park Snowboard freaks, created according to international criteria. The park is 200 m long with a maximum width of 30 metres and includes a 90 m long halfpipe suitable for competitions. This facility is an appealing attraction for all snowboard fans and is a real challenge even for experts.

For all those, who prefer a gentle cross country trail to the alpine circus or those wanting to put on their cross country skis after whizzing down the piste, will find approximately 30 km cross country trails.


In summer the Grossarl Valley calls itself the "The Valley of the Alms", and in the winter is could easily be called the "The Valley of Ski Mountaineering Tour". Away from the hustle and bustle of the ski piste, the multitde of peaks around the resorts of Grossarl and Hüttschlag are very enticing with numerous tours of varying lengths and levels of difficulty.


Around 35 km of cleared winter footpaths in the Grossarl Valley tempt you to explore the valley on foot, partly along the Ache and partly up some of the access roads with very little traffic at your leisure.  Once at your destination you'll generally find a cosy hut with a hearty snack, a hot mulled wine or a legendary "Jägertee". Travelling back down is often quicker, those who didn't leave their togoggans at home, can round off a their walk with a fun toboggan run. Even more comfortable is: heading uphill by taxi to a jolly hut evening and downhill on a toboggan.

The Grossarl Valley is a member of Austria's larest ski pass association - the wintersport professional Ski amadé. The ski pass is therefore valid not just for the local ski mountain - the Grossarl Valley - Dorfgastein ski circuit, but also in a total of 5 idependent wintersports regions with a total of 25 resort, 270 modern lifts and offers variety on 860 kilometres of piste.
