Alpe Ciamporino

Alpe Ciamporino (2000 m) is one of the most atmospheric areas of the high Val d’Ossola which, thanks to its favourable geographic position, guarantees plenty of natural snow and therefore the chance to ski from December to May.

From Alpe Ciamporino modern lift systems climb to an altitude of 2500 m, where access can be gained to the off-piste areas, greatly appreciated by lovers of freestyle and snowboarding. For downhill skiing there are 20 km of tracks, with ski runs of varying difficulty, while those who wish to learn to ski can contact the instructors of the Italian Ski School of San Domenico.

At the arrival of the "Ciamporino" ski-lift there is a snowpark made up of 3 funboxes of different sizes and a snowboard house on the slopes, with music and an assistance centre. In Trasquera, a few kilometres from San Domenico, lies the La Sotta Cross-country Centre, which has a 5 km track winding among the enchanting conifer woods.
