Lurisia

Lurisia is a well known ski and spa town in the province of Cuneo, situated in the municipality of Roccaforte Mondovì. The Monte Pigna (1,805 m) district is easily reached with the telecabin departing from the Spa Centre and has 40 km of downhill ski runs, 20 of which are equipped with an artificial snow system.

For cross-country skiing there are both high altitude and other FISI approved tracks in the localities of Roccaforte and Rastello; the town also offers an artificial ice rink measuring 1000 square metres. Lurisia is the ideal destination for those in search of a good level district but far from the crowds that characterise the larger resorts, protagonists of white tourism.

Furthermore, given its vocation as a spa town, Lurisia offers inviting opportunities to relax after a day’s skiing, enjoying massages and Jacuzzis, Turkish baths in caves, relaxation programmes and beauty treatments. Quarter of an hour from the town one can visit the Sanctuary of Vicoforte, with the world’s biggest elliptic dome.
