Arabba-Marmolada

The ski resort Arabba/Marmolada offers more then 62 km of slopes. Together with the resorts around the Sella like Alta Badia, Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi and Val di Fassa it creates a unique connected ski area with 500 km of slopes.

Arabba is really a winter paradise for alpine skiing lovers, who can also easily reach other districts like Malga Ciapela and the Marmolada glacier, Canazei and Corvara. Arabba's fortunate position makes it a privileged point of access to the Sella Ronda, a unique skiing route through the Four Passes: Campolongo, Sella, Gardena, Pordoi. Arabba guarantees snow throughout the whole winter season and enjoys one of the best skilift equipments in Italy.

Also featuring ice-skating rink, snowmobiling tours, and excursions with the "ciaspe", snow shoes.

Words cannot describe the grandeur of the Marmolada: you ought to see it. Only then can you fully understand the charm of the Dolomites highest mountain (3342m), which towers over Rocca Pietore and the whole Agordino.

You can reach the Marmolada by cableway from Malga Ciapela, and from there you can descend to Serauta (where you can visit the World War I Museum) or to Punta Rocca (3270m).

We would remember, among the others, the track known as "La Bellunese", that, from Punta Rocca descends to Malga Ciapela; one of the longest tracks in Europe which winds for about 12 km, from 3.300 to 1.500 metres. Ski lovers have 18,3 km of ski runs at their disposal, while there are 3 cross country tracks for those who prefer this discipline. The Marmolada is also the perfect place for summer skiing, endless excursions, the most amazing beauties of nature, such as the Serrai di Sottoguda, a deep two-kilometer-long gorge at the glacier's foot.

And if you want to spend a cheerful evening out, you can get to the refuges by snow-machine or, if you are romantic, by horse-drawn sledge.
