Beatenberg-Niederhorn

A panoramic skiing area with 5 runs graded from easy to moderately difficult. It is convenient to get there with the funicular from Beatenbucht and then the gondola from Beatenberg Station. The main skiing area is between the mid-station Vorsass (1580m) and the Niederhorn (1950m) where there is one ski lift and gondola. There are mountain restaurants at Vorsass and on the Niederhorn. There is also a sledge run and winter hiking paths. There are pay car parks in Beatenbucht, Beatenberg Station and "Lood". 

 


Many hiking paths in and around Beatenberg are also open in winter. But don’t forget your sledge - you’ll find several super runs ready and waiting!

Sensational sledging for the whole family! Beatenberg offers racy downhill runs as well as easier rides for tiny tots.  The sledge runs on Niederhorn are famous far  beyond the region. Enjoy super sledging and a spectacular Alpine panorama!

 


The areas Waldegg/Amisbühl and Waldegg/Rischeren/Bodenalp each have one cross-country ski run prepared by Beatenberg Tourism. The cross-country trail Amisbühl is a skating track for experienced skiers, starting at the Amisbühl holiday chalet / parking places at the Hohwald ski lift and the Waldegg car park. The cross-country trail Waldegg-Rischeren-Bodenalp with it's classical and skating tracks for beginners and experienced skiers, as well.Starting point: below the center of meditation, parking places at Hohwald ski lift and the Waldegg car park. Usage of trails is free of charge.
