Kiental in Switzerland in the Bernese Oberland region is a very small ski resort with just three ski lifts but it does boast a respectable 477 metres of vertical descent. Kiental has 12 kilometers of pistes. There are 44 kilometers of cross country ski trails at Kiental. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe.

 

There is a children’s lift and natural ice rink in the vicinity of the valley terminus. A prepared cross-country run starts just behind Kiental and leads to the Tschingelsee.

Whether a gentle toboggan run from Ramslauenen to Kiental or a high speed descent from Oeschinensee to Kandersteg – you’ll be spoilt for choice. Both toboggan runs lead through fascinating winter scenery, surrounded by high, snow-covered mountain peaks.
